Oils of the Bible: How they Smell, Were Used & Verses

I’ve always wanted to do a post on essential oils, not because I’m an expert. In fact, quite the opposite, I’m a total novice. But I was especially interested in Bible verses about essential oils and how they were used back in biblical times.

I’m not a rep for any essential oil company, mostly because I can’t afford it! And honestly, I buy everything online from Amazon.

Many people who deal with the emotional and physical ailments of acne or cancer have enjoyed the benefits of essential oils.

So, below are the Bible verses about essential oils with information on how they smell, what they are used for and a list of verses that mention them. If you know of any more oils/fragrances please comment and I can add it to the list.

Note: These oils are available from Amazon by clicking on the affiliate image. I know people are all about the purity of them, but I focused on price and reviews because we’ve been financially strapped for most of our marriage.

Ninety-five percent of everything on this list is less than $20 on Amazon.com, with most of them being less than $10.

You can also purchase many of these (esp. the NOW brand) at your local grocery store.
